This thread gives me the notion as if it's almost turning into a religious cult of RAP holders. Any criticism against the company is almost taken as a sacrilege or crime committed against the divine authority of RAP ) I am a non-holder, but I can't turn a blind eye to the most discussed stocks, which RAP usually happens to be one of them (okay, ready to take insults and comments saying "you don't even hold, go f. yourself").
My simple opinion as a neurologist is that this application has a lot of potential for 3rd world countries, hence the funding from Gates Foundation. However it doesn't have any "obvious / winning" advantage in western medicine. Fellow medical practitioners would also agree that there quite a bit apps like RAP, that are not listed on any stock exchange market but offering much comprehensive and useful solutions which might be more "likely" to be used by "some" doctors. RAP doesn't have any sophisticated or novel technology, but it does a fill a gap, I agree, not in the western world though. Just to give an example, most of the mental disorders are not diagnosed with any pathologic or biochemical test, but rather based on the responses given by the patient. Instead of GPs or (in advanced cases) psychiatrists asking the questions (already pre-defined questions you can find in a graduate medical psychology book), a smartphone app can ask you the questions and based on your answers, it can diagnose you with a mental disorder, be it a mild depression or bipolar depression etc.. There are already apps doing that, and there are a lot of lifeline support centres, did they really tap into "BILLION DoLLAR" telehealth market, no, of course not. Patients still prefer to go and have consultation with a GP or a specialist, because it is more appropriate to do so apart from it being more trustworthy. And western world can still afford to do that. But, such apps would be quite useful in developing or 3rd world countries, I agree to that.
But all in all, RAP is just like marijuana stocks, entirely built on good marketing and hype, generating $0 revenue. But hey, I'm all up for it. I will buying RAP if it ever falls <30cents, not because it is going to be "huuggeee" or will tap into "billion dollar telehealth" market, but simply because people will buy it without understanding why and it will create a nice wave to ride. I'll dump it right away I make >100% profit.
But I genuinely wish good luck to all RAP holders, because I know there are lot of people who sincerely believe in this stock. While it's funny to read some comments, I find it amusing and this is like one, big, cheerful family where everyone wants to make money and be happy altogether. Good luck people.
