Personally I can't see it being anything else but gold based on their outlook/objectives etc... complete speculation on it being other resources but let's see.

They have till December 2018 to achieve one of their two targets to get the performance shares. So as long as they hit one of them by that date they will receive it. E.g. they could do nothing for a year and in November 2018 acquire a 3moz project with the relevant % that is inferred (or whichever it was) and get their shares.
