I have been following the issue of permits from the Californian Department of Conservation. I can see the original drill application around Sept 2017. I want to see if a permit had been issued for flow testing as I thought this would constitute new work and need a new permit. I had an interesting response:
Your question about permitting requirements on the Tulainyo #2 well was routed to me. This well’s information is a confidential at the request of the operator. You will need to contact CRC directly for exact permit and well conditions. However, the Division does require a permit, Notice of Intention (NOI), to perforate the well if that operation wasn’t covered in the initial drilling program that was permitted also under an NOI. If an operator desires to stimulate a well, for example, acidize or fracture, we have a specific permitting process covered under the SB 4 program. You can review our permits and the SB 4 program through our website.
