    Potentially news might've leaked. People in the know have knowledge that something is agreed and is about to be finalised. Hence the need for extra time to actually finish the deal.

    They can't reply the price query with, they don't know what's happening, then coming out with an announcement a week later. Doesn't look good.

    So what they're saying now is, something is finishing very soon. Have to have trading halt/suspension for that extra time.
