Yes, pretty much all the BOD are influenced by self interest but I don't think that I ever said "put share holders first". My statements were more referring to the BOD interaction with the shareholders and if they delivered the bare minimum at the last minute or perhaps delivered a bit more a bit sooner.
IMO the questionable BOD's generally display a poor interaction with the shareholders.
