It would seem crazy that Newcrest would just let MAH declare their contract erroneous and essentially walk away, resulting in financial pain for both and the possibility of lengthy (and costly) litigation.
Then there is the 'intangible risk' to the reputation of Newcrest as a 'fair and equitable' business partner...……...in any future contracts they put out to tender.
Newcrest...man up.
