Correct and it's worse than a CR .... particularly a renounceable rights CR, as a private placement raises outside the existing shareholder base and is therefore by definition, 100% definitely, dilutional.
It staggers me how investors do not appreciate why the destructive nature of dilutional "outside" placements/raisings (call them what you like!!! ) have a downward pressure on the SP...
More shares ie denominator (with no foreseeable profit..."future" EPS numerator ) = a lower future EPS..... therefore SP!!! It's simple maths!
