One can draw the irrefutable conclusion that Meydan had his people look over the figures and saw mostly dead horses. He's thus pulled out, and obviously by the wording of the suspension, trying to get him to turn the money tap back on.
My guess is Meydan will either pull out, in which case OPY will sputter along for a while before dying on the side of the road, or he'll attach conditions to further funding.
There's little chance of a take over I think because nobody wants this dead duck. If Meydan takes it private, forget you own the stock. Either way, I believe a massive sell off may occur IF it ever resumes trading.

What I don’t quite get is that Meydan is already fully part of the business. It’s not like he looked at the numbers before the last funding notice and realised how bad it was. It is just as bad as when he added more money a few months ago. They also brought in Fortress very recently. Those guys are pretty serious… and I don’t buy that any of these parties have been surprised.
Not sure what’s going on…
