I'd normally agree with you that putting out an announcement about a delay would not achieve anything, BUT this company said on June 2023 that they would be drilling the development wells in August 2023. They didn't say Q3 or Q4. so obviously a plan was made, calls were made to the driller. we know it's not a permit issue since they've had them for a couple months now.
Moreover, they also said revenues will happen this year. Now I'm no driller or expert in the field, but one would think that in order to derive such revenues you need to you know, actually have something to sell which is pretty hard when what you need to sell is buried deep underground!
An announcement to provide an update on where the drill is at in light of the above calms the market.
