I can share my genuine experience at early of this year.
when we had a meeting with management of an ASX listed company for project funding negotiation, we were told the company plans to raise capital @15c in next two months. I actually doubt because its SP was 6.0c when we had the meeting. Just 2 weeks after the meeting, Its SP did increase to above 15c, the company did CR at 15c following after, and finally the SP reached more than 30c 3 months later.

Having said that, like I already mentioned several times here when VR8 SP was at 6c range, I just don’t wanna see existing shareholders lose their profits easily like burning their cash.

The management & institutional buyer knows much more than shareholders, for VR8 case, the 10.4 actual already give us a hint: why it’s not 10.0c, not 10.5c, but a bit strange 10.4c. Why the 64% premium is also abnormal, why not 60% sharp, or just 50%?

This can only be explained that the company didn’t wanna give a little anymore during the negotiation. Think about it , without any foreseeable upcoming substantial progress, it’s unlikely finally the placement price is set at 10.4c.
