Not sure about zero evidence, there is still plenty of debate about it. Here's a story that's running today for example...

The point is, some countries are accepting that the virus will be with us for a long time, so best just to get on with life

Whereas here in Australia we seem hellbent on getting to zero cases, and after that we want to keep it that way. As a result it will take us much longer to get back to normal life

Why on earth we want to keep a few old and vunerable people going for a few extra years at the expense of millions of young Aussies quality of life is quite baffling. Incredibly selfish really
