    there might be a second wave coming

    For all the discussion in the media, in particular social media, about a second wave I see absolutely no evidence of it. In fact we barely had a first wave, so a second wave would surely be extremely unlikely given the testing facilities we have now

    In any case Greg Hunt has already said it's 'highly unlikely' that we will go back into lockdown should a second wave arrive, instead the government will just throw all their resources at hot spots. Makes sense

    The main thing holding VRL back from charging towards $3 now is border closures (and of course the BGH bid will put a short term cap on the price, which BLJ alluded to)

    As I said earlier in the thread, it's frustrating how the state premiers are holding up the reopening of society. But I notice Scomo had a chat with Adern this morning about opening up the NZ border and it's looking increasingly possible that it will happen quickly. I think Scomo's turning up the heat on Qld, WA etc, it would be very embarrassing for these states should the international border open before the state borders
