@carno - That's exactly it - it's all about having quality management, people who have a clear track record in the business of the company. I too made the mistake of investing in VRX because of the silica sand story, without much thought about management capability. Take as example the chip developer WBT, the current chairman (Perlmutter) was previously the number two at Intel (a decade ago), and was being considered for the Intel CEO job. Most of the WBT board and senior management have worked for big names in the semiconductor industry. In constrast, the senior management of VRX previously appear to have worked for small mining companies most people have never heard of. Now I steer clear of micro-caps that have management teams without clear track records.
