Notice how this announcement makes statements like

"reduces chemical costs by up to 20%"

"further reduces chemical costs by up to 10%"

Yet they don't provide a reference as to what they are comparing to. Are these comparisons of VSPC vs VSPC-RC? If so, they all they are claiming is that they have reduced costs on their own process. Keep in mind VSPC patented this technology over 20 years ago, and the original patent holders are no longer employees of the company. That's right, the brains trust left the building years ago. Also, why are they still trying to reduce costs on a process that is over 20 years old? Can they still not compete on cost?

Note also the performance metric they use is for coin cell batteries. They are claiming 158mAhr/g at 0.1C discharge. Hello? State-of-the-art LiFePO4 is over 200Ahr/kg and supports discharge rates well over 10C.

Edit. they do have capacity tests at higher discharge rates. Look at the curve for 10C people. < 125mAhr/kg.
