It looks big because the tanks aren’t overly sophisticated.
If a European house can have underfloor heating fluids contained in pipe work inlaid into the floor, much like Oz houses with heated pools have heating fluids in pipes mounted on the roof, I think we’ll see novel ways of reducing the electrolyte footprint by cleverly distributing it around the domestic house in pipes over time.
