I tend to agree that the VTG dividend is too high given they should be investing in expanding NIMA; the challenge though in Australia is that the market will not like that message (people love their dividends).
VTG also pays ~30% tax, so dividends has been a good way to get rid of the franking credits, and although the SMSFs (in pension phase) are going to be impacted going forward, I just don't see too many who would have invested in VTG.
Yesterday we saw a price fall of almost 5c (on less than 100k in shares) and today its up 2.5c (on under 9k in shares)!! I'm perplexed how unloved or under the radar this stock is when you consider the last 4 days have been under 100k in shares traded on a market cap of 180m!!
We need some analysts following this stock to get any traction going forward.
