Interestingly every time I walk past the local telstra shop (not a vita group store by the looks of it), they still have the tape blocking the entrance, but have a couple of people waiting to get in (salespeople inside seem busy with customers).

Anecdotal, but I'm hoping that it indicates that people with existing jobs are upgrading and/or jobkeeper has put a bit more money into peoples hands to get a new phone.

Also Optus has customers, but at least 50% less than telstra.....hopefully a good omen
