Some perspective is also required: it is 21.4m shares. Even with this new issue which, yes, divides the pie, VUL will still have only around ~165m shares in the float, with many blocks (like Stellantis and the cornerstones) held tight not traded. The pie still has plenty of filling left and nobody should be under any illusion that it won’t have to be divided further to cover capex costs. This placement size, timing and audience is not in any way irresponsible imo.
