heraclitus you do raise a valid point.. ..of course you could argue what is to say the same wont happen with Vulcan in the future if it does turn up OD type deposits?
That said, the actual development of this potential resource is some time off and in the meantime TAS will reap the benefits of what it finds from exploration.
If/when this project really comes to fruition it may just be the case that it is much more economically viable for TAS/RIO to develop.
For now, its knowing what is beneath the ground and what Vulcan has to offer that is the key to the success of this JV. Look at SIR - they havent dug anything out of the ground and their SP went from 5.1c to almost $2 is a matter of weeks!! A significant find could really boost the sp of this company regardless of whether or not its economically viable or not, thats just the stage its at..
As geiger noted: lets wait for the drill to do the talking and heraclitus: scale is the key.
