A litre of diesel is about 38M joules of energy.
This makes about 26 litres of diesel in 1 Gj of energy, or about $18 (@ 70c/ltr after tax removed) for the fuel cost of 1Gj.
Converting to gas if available makes sense for every mine using diesel generators for their processing plants, even at a cost of $10/Gj. Plenty of profit for both APA and Strike at gas prices lower than $10/Gj delivered to mines, let alone above $10/Gj.
Expect mines to be lining up to do deals IMHO.
