There are some very exciting prospects for Nanotechnology Applications but the key word to consider is nano (One nanometer is a billionth of a meter) so they are hardly going to be requiring millions of tonnes of the stuff for production of nanotubes. It is only the fact that tubular Halloysite is cheap and abundant (although not so abundant in Australia) that allows it to provide any form of competition to man-made carbon equivalents so don't be expecting pricing anywhere close to that of HPA.
