"Pilbara Minerals has signed Contract Power to construct, operate and maintain a six-megawatt solar farm for 15 years at the Pilgangoora lithium mine in Western Australia. The solar farm will initially replace about 3.8 million litres of diesel fuel and 9900 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per annum. There will be room, however, for an expansion of the solar capacity and the integration of battery storage for further cost and energy savings."

These type of solar power installations are becoming more common for mining operations. This could potentially be far better economics for WAF as there is plenty of sunshine in Sanbrado. One would think Richard would be looking at solar power to reduce costs and trouble of trucking so much fuel out into Central Africa. With the extended LOM this would work out in WAF's favour now.
