I dont think there will be any shortage of local labour .......

I dont think there will be any shortage of local labour .... locals who used to be in or plan to get out of farming (with farms in area getting even bigger and using less permanent local labour) and people who live in Narrogin (which is about 50km away). I dont think residents of Wickepin will be major source.
That said, my family says that anything that keeps people living in the area is good, as it gets harder snd harder to keep the local community running with volunteers for essential community roles such as the local ambulance, fire fighting, shire councillor etc.
