I didn't hold during the period you referred to either.
NXM had being hitting large widths of high grade over hundreds of RC holes. They then drilled a deep DD hole which contained visible gold which was talked up to Everest type heights, the deposit was looking like the next Carasue dam (which grade increases at depth). The DD results came back and contained bugger all and the plummet began.
The recent MRE was also a dud, many myself included thought there could/should be 1m oz for the amount of drilling completed (Mammoth drill out 5 rigs). The deposit turned out to be imo not as wide and narrowed at depth for 175,000oz. Hence the huge dump and the wtf reaction from brokers and retail who'd been promised the world (just my take).
Time to pick up the pieces, there's gold over a large fairly shallow area and only a tiny percentage has been drilled so we're lead to believe. It's a try to cut through the bs and see if there's value in such a great location. Any hits at depth will add multiples. Still "looking for the big one" approach.
Also read the MRE as cut off grades higher than I expected.
That's my short take from a watcher and occasional holder of NXM. Others posters have far more detail so worth reading, I'm still learning plenty about this stock.
