EV’s are a growing problem and most plug in during peak times unless they have a system that activates during off peak.
Solar panels connected to battery storage as I have in my home with grid tied system (47Kw/hr) even out the loading.
I have been involved in with large scale PV systems, wind generation & BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) .
My background is EHV systems, Substations and Generation systems.
