If it was easy, then everyone would do it!

When you consider what is being built at the Walyering site:

• The concept
• The plans
• Approvals
• Procurement
• Delivery to Site
• Installation
• Govt Approvals
• Testing
• Production
• Sales

And BTW everyone is forgetting that this is a remote operation. The STX management have been setting up a functioning West Perth office and business at the backend with capability to operate Walyering. No-one is thinking about this. New office staff, Job Descriptions, staff training, Staff Employment Handbooks for the office team with different handbook for the onsite workers at Walyering, Safety Operation Handbooks for operating the machinery correctly, SWMS Handbook, PPE equipment for staff, Induction to site training, Emergency shut down procedures, testing the procedures, purchase of computer and phone system, computer cabling, MYOB installation for accounts, office security, internet to site capability, insurances, leases, new phone lines etc etc.

If you have never done this before - timelines are so difficult to set up a functioning office structure. The amount of background compliant paperwork to be created for two different sites is just massive and a huge amount of time - and it absolutely has to be in place for safe operations. You don't want a Worksafe claim against without being compliant.

I always thought that the timeframe was hopeful - but look beyond this trough and cheer up! Once the backend Office structure is set up then it is done for good. Every other production site will never be this time consuming, as half the work - namely the office for remote operation will already be in place.

Okay - the outlined timeframe was wobbly. If that is worst of our problems, then so be it. Hold on tight and take a valium.
