The netgear interface is just as easy as the FMZ one from what I can see from the manuals, but yes agree many many years ago routers were too cryptic. What I don't understand and will need to research more, unless someone here knows, is what does the FMZ hardware device do that a router wont? - from a tech point of they're just gates that review and let data through (or not if it's blocked). Maybe it just gives those not in the know a comfort feeling having an extra piece of hardware?
