VPN providers are not the underlying carriage. Wangle is running over actual carrier's infrastructure. The interception law clearly states application to carriers only. I have used 4 different paid VPN providers, all with IOS apps, all of which payment was made on the providers website. PIA, VyprVPN, NordVPN and the generic OpenVPN app for a Romanian mob I forget the name of.

I've read through the relavant sections of the act that you referred to. 187A clause 3a

It would seem to me that the Wangle app is indeed a "service for carrying communications, or enabling communications to be carried...."

The act clearly applies to and is relavant to Wangle.
