Marketing is fine to be done independently, in fact they would need ACCC approval to jointly market as it's potentially anti-competitive - CTP and Macquarie needed to get approval to jointly market gas from Mereenie, which they hold 50-50. It would be better from holders' point of view if WGO and STX merged so that they weren't competing against each other for customers, but such is life.

Yeah that was my main concern, sharing of infrastructure. You'd think sense will prevail...but go have a look at Gladstone and all of the pipelines heading up there.
