    Dis et al, why would a plant that is only 10 years old need refurbishment? Why did it cease operation? A running plant should be a cash generator not a burden on the Icelandic finances. Why is the brine source so far away? How does it get to the plant? In a pipeline of some sort, I guess?

    After a very quick Google, I found the answer (sort of) to the questions about the brine source here:

    Some other interesting tidbits there as well. Still haven't got to the bottom of why it has ceased operation or how much the purchase price is.

    P.S. A market cap of $75M is quite large. Good on them.
