From the recent announcements 'Tassal reinforces facts to market'
"Any Salmon grower in Macquarie Harbour can stock up to 28 tonnes of fish per hectare if it is using an EPA approved waste capture system. When Tassal stocked its 2016-year class fish the tonnage allowed was 33.58 tonnes of fish per hectare"
From an earlier announcement 'Tassal moves to correct Huon Aquaculture market statement'
"The EPA has clarified that each Salmon grower in Macquarie Harbour is allocated 13 tonnes per hectare. If any company opts to implement a waste capture system, that would allow an additional 15 tonnes per ha for the 2016 year class, as long as fish waste is captured."
So the waste management allows us to increase from 13 to 28, which is slightly more than double, so a big deal, but that still contradicts the bolded part about 33.58, maybe its still a reduction in real terms ?
