Before Ceto 5 was deployed, the technology underwent testing in open ocean in the smaller scale Ceto 3.

Ceto 6 on the other hand, is new technology so far only being tested in a wave tank.

I presume open ocean testing will precede the deployment of a full operational model at Garden Island.

There is a testing facility available at Falmouth Harbour that I presume will be where open ocean testing will occur.
