That is a bit of old thinking about China. They have in the past done what you suggest however they have cleaned up their act considerably and are now are part of the international patent treaties (PCT's). I have personally secured patents in China in this biometric area. I think that the Chinese may have got sick of people doing to them, what they did in the past to the international community. Make no mistake, China is a significant player in technology of all types and want to protect their ideas as much as we want to protect ours.

Having said that its like all things, its who you partner with and ensuring that the partner has honorable intentions. This is not only in China but in any country.
