so you would rather use layby and then get the dated item later after paying in full,
why not layby a house and only stay in it after 30 years paying it off?
BNPL concept is great for people who cannot otherwise get credit. Poor or rich.
Your weed dealer for instance is cash rich but cannot get a credit card, but can use afterpay to buy his surfboard and using other peoples money to pay for it upfront interest free.
so you would rather use layby and then get the dated item later...
