I'm guessing the directors see the investment in WBE as offering a better potential upside based on assets held than any other projects that GGE could invest shareholders money in. ie I'd be assuming that as a company controller where you have a pool of funds you are looking at where to deploy them to generate the best chance of return for shareholders. Yep will not always play out as directors intend especially in exploration which is risky by nature.
It will be interesting to see the long term plans on GGEs assets.
