we are still doing exploration as we go along, both desktop and drilling.
all these costs money, we don’t have the capacity financially do all these exploration same time, this has been always the play for WWI
if you look at the previous Anns pre 2020, the original plan was to explore whilst we mine. Less upfront capital needed as it would be self funded.
original plan was for us to have 5 open pits for 2 years, funding the development of stage 1 Qala, as well as further exploration.. and this has changed as we didn’t get the go signal on the open pits yet. So we go on the EMI and Stage one Qala now and this should fund further exploration as well as hoping we get the open pits online eventually.
other goldies, has a different route, they raise significant capital, drill drill drill all they want and hopefully find the motherload.
whilst us, we know it i there, as it is a brownfield, but cannot declare it all due to the updated jorc, and to update this requires again significant capital. Even a desktop study costs a lot. So we do it in stages and as we go along.
remember as what Jac have said, his target is to get 6-8million from the 12.82 jorc 1997 resource updated to jorc 2012 but this takes time and money.
this is the reason why WWI always mentions the 12.82 million oz jorc 1997 resource, as it is there, we just need to convert it to 2012 standards
