They started on the 4onm cell earlier than the 300nm array. I'd assume they already tested the 300nm cell before building it into an array. They have stated that the 40nm cell woks the same as the 300nm cell so not sure what you're on about as clearly the testing has been done.
Leti is no backyard or uni lab, it is a multi billion dollar pre industrialisation facility specialising in the very tech Weebit is developing. If they say the test is a success then it is by industry standard - a success.
