There is nothing indicating a new diversification direction in this announcement. WBT have been very clear over a long period of their 3 revenue generating models:
Short-term - embedded memory
Mid to Long term - AI applications
Long term - processing in memory
They still have their focus firmly on the short term goal and these announcements do not indicate any variation from those plans IMO.
