I wonder where this SNN technology steps on Brainchip's SNN patents though? Their Akida chip is progressing with plans for a custom ASIC in the near future. Maybe they should talk?
Obviously reram modelled as a synapse is a different approach but I havent enough understanding to compare approaches. Intuitively a specific directly modelled SNN like BRN's should be more effective but then the idea of in-memory logic processing comes up again.
Interesting will be the idea of SNN processing in memory, rather than as a separate processing stream.
As MBD implies, very early days. I still hold out hope management will get some stones and aim square at flash and set the controls for the market heart of the sun.
