    re: Ann: WDC - Change of Director's Inter... I think the world economy would have to be devastatingly bad for WDC to lose retailers to the extent that they would be severely affected. Anchors like Woolworths, Coles, Kmart etc. keep the demand very high for the smaller retailers who pay much higher rents per square metre. And despite the GFC, WDC has not been hurt badly by a poor retail sector. In fact, they have been able to get away with charging higher and higher rates throughout this period despite the GFC. If one retailer goes under they don't seem to have a problem finding another to take their spot. The fantastic thing about WDC is that people focus too much on the retail sector in analysing WDC and completely miss WDCs business model, and so a great quality business like this one provides opportunities to buy in at very low prices as people freak out over something that isn't actually hurting them. In this way, WDC has become one of my favourite buys recently.
