I think people on this thread are 99% sure that WGO put their foot in it, and are now preparing the ground for management to get off scot free (like their performance shares) by saying "but WGO were just trying to be transparent". I can't think of many workplaces where you could be so wrong about something so important without explaining your reasons to your boss (the shareholders in this case) and for there to be no significant consequences.

Let me say it again, if WGO take the dramatic step of contradicting the operator, the burden of proof is on them to substantiate their position, then admit they are wrong ASAP, so the share price of both companies can recover. Not let this cloud linger over the project any longer than necessary. And this should be followed up by a public apology to it's own shareholders.

And if it turns out STX are wrong, then the same applies to them. But at least in their case, they've actually released the data/analysis on which their conclusions were based.

Oh Please you are trying to slur people who may have a different political persuasion than yourself by using the term "Trumpian". You do realise Trump was pro oil and gas and the first thing Biden did was sign an executive order banning construction of the Keystone gas pipeline that was running from Canada all the way down to Texas.
If STX was in the USA right now it would be essentially worthless or worth a lot less because of the risk of bringing its gas to market. Along with general Biden EGS populism. The USA is now dependent again on middle east oil. That always ends well.

Stick to the facts and stop causing division, by using political slurs that you miss apply. That goes for all the sycophants that that liked your post as well.
