Some of the critical underlying info on which the scorecard was based (my annotations green arrows and red boxes, their words and diagrams)

To give you an idea of what happens when you get cement into fractured carbonate productive zones..
    • imagine water flowing through a brick wall.
    • bricks that have mortar between them will not let much water through.
    • bricks without mortar - the water will piss through like crazy.

    1. In the Alameda-2 scenario - the FMI image below - taken during open hole, before casing - shows shitloads of fractures. The company correctly decided to test them.
    2. Once they ran the casing and cemented it (they told us this was to be left open over Unit 1B (no cement) - pers comm during AGM and I think it was stated at PESA) they ran the Cement Bond Log (CBL).
    3. Lo and behold the CBL tells us we have cement behind the casing sitting in what the company itself said was the most highly fractured zone.
    4. i.e. we have put mortar in the brick wall. How did this happen? This is a pretty big boo boo is it not?
    5. we then perforated the casing (gives you about 0.5 m penetration into the formation).
    6. and lo and behold, most of the flow came from the cement compromised, highly fractured zone.
    7. the flow then diminished ... maybe because the few productive fractures that were not cement compromised ran out of oil charge?

So how is this a "no complications" conclusion for Alameda 2?
They have known about the Alameda 2 issue since Dec 2023.
Yet they are now starting the assessment of remedial options? Why could this not be done in parallel with the epic Alameda 3 drill?
Maybe there is a good news story they are setting up for us?
idk, the jury is well and truly out for me.

So when it comes to voting for performance shares...they will be putting their hands out for a shitload of them. They will get a big 0 from me.
They have a golden opportunity, but it seems to me someone is trying as hard as they can without being too obvious to f it all up for us.
