TEG reported today that BP are not going to renew their Kwinana storage agreement and the dependent offtake agreement when they fall due on 22 April 2022 .
I am not sure what other parties are involved producing oil in the Perth Basin but the daily production would not be large .
There probably would only be one more export shipment from Kwinana before that route was closed .

Geraldton is an obvious place to build an export depot but that would take some time .
There has been talk about building a mini refinery by TEG for crude and to produce bio diesel probably at their Arrowsmith crude stabilisation plant that along with their end of life CH production platform they are desperate to avoid having to shut down and remediate.
However they would not have the money to build it and they are definitely not the people to do it .
A lifestyle company that could not organise a chook raffel in my humble opinion .

Maybe the government might convince BP to grant an extension but there has been talk for months without any action .
Obviously a solution has to be found soon .

While I think the gas production from the producing fields and the deep new discoveries is dry gas .
STX may have a WET gas discovery at Walyering and our prospective oil will need a home .
