We had been longterm shareholder at least jan 2016 (may have been earlier, but thats earliest date our current Chess statement shows) and at entry cost of 49c .....there is no ‘gap’ to make up, its an unbridgeable chasm.
So we take the pain of the negative gain (thats an optimistic way of describing it) and avoid potentialy ever to have to deal with the waiting to access losses if/when a company goes into liquidation, or worse still when a company becomes delisted, goes into administration and you end up holding shares in a worthless ‘shelf company’ unable to claim any capital losses because it has not been liquidated and only way of proceeding is to PAY someone like delisted dot com to buy them.
Been there .... so I try to avoid going there again or getting landed with ‘stranded assets’ of dubious to nil value.
