Re Whyalla, just note the SA Gov are very pro solar and transitioning away from fossil fuels. They pulled the funding for the electrolysis plant to redirect funds to bailing out the steelworks. Despite a hazer plant making sense for Whyalla which is joined to the main Moonta-Adelaide Gas pipeline, I'm not sure if the SA gov can bring themselves to fund a project that prolongs the use of gas.
However it could make sense for the private sector, especially if the Fed gov revise their Hydrogen headstart program to include methane pyrolysis.
