Who cares about VWAP offers!
In todays world of Bots, Shorting, gonadless ASIC, an offer based off VWAP is meaningless.....................
Especially the more moving parts there are in a business.
For such a small young player, STX incredibly have 4 fields in play, running the gamut of early Exploration all the way to Production.
Thats astonishing!
There is a complexity here where there is daylight between the $value of the sum of the parts and the value of each individual asset, let alone the Share Price!.
Thats why everyone argues over the "value". Age old guessing Top down versus detailed Bottom up approach.
It drives me mad when I see people just pluck a "Oh I'll be happy if I get more than 30c or 40c or 50c" etc.
You might as well pluck lint out of your navel and throw a dart. Those above SP targets have more correlation to requiring a premium over that persons purchase price than the actual value of the assets............Please stop!
The whole point of a
bottom up Strategic review is to chop up the parts of our business and attempt to place a realistic (todays money) value on each of them.
A couple of posters on here (eg
@618 et al) are known for having a red hot crack at this bottom up approach. Chapeau!
I do wonder why it going to take the Board potentially until June! Pull your finger. We pay you enough!
Thats the problem when people who have worked for Big Multinationals, can't do their job, and have to bring in consultants...............
