On the topic of holding long , I have been a holder in both my wife's super and my own and started buying back when it was$16 +. Over time I have averaged down when free cash was available or when I sold another stock. The fundamentals were the reason i bought in. Currently my wife's super average is in the $13 + range and my own is about $12.70 . So both in the red. I feel it will recover from here, but dont discount the possibility it may drop again, so I am freeing up some funds by taking profit on TLS and a loss on BUB to provide more funds just in case we see a sp with an 11 in front again.
I am on a holiday at the moment in a jurisdiction that has strong quarantine measures in place ( yes Australia) and didnt feel the need to don the face masks either ( spent enough time doing that in the Victorian fires) . Remember China and their tourist only account for a smallish percentage of all world travel and we are still making money from the rest of the world travel ,so expect an impact that is far less than what the doomsayers will have you believe. Yes this is a serious desease, and has killed many, but from my observation it looks to be contained for now outside of China. Pray that it will be over quickly and then it's back to focussing on a great business we have invested in.
