whilst this could happen, and I wish it did, we are now faced with three scenarios
- any bidder wants something done quickly and is prepared to look past any potential short terms earnings downside due to tourism impact on Coronavirus
- any bidder wants the impact of tourism downgrades to be factored into the price of any bid so will wait strategically
- nothing happens and bidders walk
the balance of probabilities isn't ideal in my book.
