I am in pension phase. Provided I obay the SMSF rules I pay no tax within the fund. I will pay no capital gains tax on my holdings within the fund. The share price can go to $100 a share I will still pay no capital gains tax. I can day trade and no tax. This only applys to those in SMSF in retirement phase.
It costs a few bob to set up, has to be before retirement there are also ongoing accountant and audit fees.
I mentioned Fred Bart his holding is clearly in SMSF the rules still apply even before retirement phase there are limits on how much you can contribute.
