Micron Technology Inc. shares were surging in Wednesday’s (20/03/2023) late trading after the memory-chip company swung to a surprise profit and vastly exceeded the consensus view with its outlook.
Analysts had generally been expecting a beat-and-raise quarter from Micron MU, but the strength of the company’s results and forecast nonetheless impressed Wall Street, with shares up 14.6% in the extended session.
